The Jail Treatment Program Counselor position offers mental health and addiction services to adults within the Lake County Adult Detention Facility. This position is responsible for completing diagnostic assessments, running an intensive outpatient group, providing individual counseling, discharge planning services and service coordination with the courts and probation departments who refer clients to the program. This provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma Informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health.
Responsibilities
Provide mental health and addiction services to adults within the Lake County Adult Detention Facility. Complete diagnostic assessments, run an intensive outpatient group, provide individual counseling, and perform discharge planning services. Coordinate services with the courts and probation departments that refer clients to the program. Collaborate as a member of a trauma-informed, integrated services team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (required) Master’s Degree in Human Services/Addiction/Social Work/Mental Health (preferred) Two to three years of experience with mental health and addiction (preferred) Two to three years of experience working with an incarcerated population (preferred)
Licensure/Certifications
Licensed in the State of Ohio with LPC/LSW, LPCC/LISW State of Ohio Chemical Dependency Credential: CDCA I, CDCA II, LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, LICDC-CS First Aid/Basic Life Support (BLS) as applicable, company provided
