More information is available on the company’s website at: www.alliant.com. Summary Responsible for the day-to-day administration, processing and maintenance of employee benefit programs. Provides employee guidance and support to resolve benefit related inquiries. Supports the day-to-day operations of benefit and leave programs. Manages the processing, entering, and recording of employee inquiries for benefit and leave data tracking. Responds to participant questions and processes invoices for benefit vendors. Responsibilities
Accurately communicates benefits to employees, answers questions, and assists employees in resolving benefit matters with carriers. Answers and responds to inquiries via the HR Navigator platform, email, phone calls, etc. Provides accurate and timely audits, reconciliations, and submissions of premium billing for benefit carriers as needed. Conducts quarterly and annual benefit-related audits with an emphasis on Excel data analysis. Coordinates benefit billing including Direct Bill LOA and COBRA. Assists with annual ACA audits and annual open enrollment. Assists with administering, tracking, and auditing leaves of absence data and records; supports HR systems for managing employee leave records, paid leave benefits and PTO requests to payroll. Stays up-to-date on company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations; ensures compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA and FMLA. Assists with annual compliance duties and calendaring of city and state ordinance updates. Assists with processing life event changes with benefit TPA or carriers. Performs other duties as assigned and works on special benefits projects as required. Performs all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws. Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Two (2) or more years of related corporate benefits work experience required. Leave/FMLA experience preferred. CBP Certification preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and counseling abilities. Ability to work within a team; strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills. Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
