The Supply Chain, Procurement and Quality organization is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, delivering best-in-class communications equipment and solutions for customers around the world. Our purpose is to deliver exceptional value and customer experience through agility, speed, quality and collaboration. We plan what products and services are needed, source efficiently and ethically from a diverse supply base, launch new products, make and deliver solutions on time, and exceed customer expectations through outstanding quality, service and support. We are a central point in our efforts to bring value, quality and lead technology innovation. In this role, you will work closely with our software development teams to establish and enhance quality assurance processes, ensuring high-quality software products. You will contribute significantly to frontloading quality efforts and conduct thorough software code review analyses to prevent defect leakage.
Job Description
In this role the Quality Software Assurance Engineer III designs and installs quality control processes, procedures, tools, and statistical techniques.
Responsibilities:
Designs and/or specifies quality control sampling and testing procedures. Formulates quality control policies and procedures in conjunction with other engineering disciplines, operations, and suppliers and analyzes the economic impact of any quality control process proposed. Assesses customer and business impact from product quality issues, communicates issue globally, and drives supporting teams for issue resolution. Analyzes production, supplier, and fulfillment standards and limitations, and recommends process improvements. Focuses on standards, methods and procedures rather than with testing devices and equipment used to check products. Qualifies components and works with suppliers to ensure repeatable robust processes are in place to maintain quality control and prevent future defects. Analyzes material failures to determine rootcause, generates failure analysis reports, and works in conjunction with engineering and suppliers to implement corrective actions.
Additional Qualified Skills:
Strong understanding of Quality metrics and their application to continuous improvement processes. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Working knowledge and experience with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, EazyBI, Confluence) Working knowledge and experience with DOORS Requirement Management Tool Agile SW Development Methodologies preferred
Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
