Lead Innovative Bridge Design and Engineering Projects with Fisher Associates. Fisher Associates is actively seeking a Bridge Project Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead bridge design, structural analysis, inspection, and load rating of transportation infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a Civil or Structural Engineer looking to make a meaningful impact on public infrastructure with a firm known for its technical excellence and innovative approach. What You’ll Do as a Bridge Project Engineer

Lead bridge design, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design. Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures. Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets. Participate in project planning meetings and align tasks to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations as needed. Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes. Conduct field inspections and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design. Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits. Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.

Salary Range

$100,000-$130,000. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. This range excludes the monetary value of benefits.

Requirements / Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of transportation experience with bridges/structures design experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain it. Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and bridge design software. Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT). Demonstrated high-quality work with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and judgment. Ability to take ownership of projects, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration, integrity, and communication in client and team relationships. A mindset of continuous improvement and openness to feedback.
