We’re seeking a Software Engineer with strong ML, biometrics and computer vision experience to help build the next generation of products that go beyond ID and leverage a networked digital identity. You will participate in the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of applications to build and enhance a platform that interconnects attributes and qualifications with a privacy- and security-first approach. What you’ll do
Enhance and maintain the facial recognition stack core to CLEAR products using C++, Python, and Java, from image capture to face matching.
Leverage computer vision and machine learning to develop, deliver, and enhance biometric features.
Research and measure biometric algorithms for accuracy and performance in a production system at scale.
Collaborate with CLEAR functions to ensure biometrics requirements are accounted for in new products and features.
Partner with product and stakeholders to uncover requirements, innovate, and solve complex problems.
Demonstrate ownership with architectural decision-making and drive continuous improvement in technology and processes at CLEAR.
What you’re great at
3+ years of backend software development experience in Python, Java, and C++
2+ years of experience and/or formal training in computer vision, machine learning and biometrics
Experience with cloud-based application development and fluency in at least a few of the following:
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
Collaboration, integration, and deployment tools: Github, Argo, Jenkins
Ability to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Mentoring and collaboration with less experienced team members
Comfort with ambiguity and speed; curiosity for technology and continuous learning
Autonomy to identify what’s important and to act accordingly
How you’ll be rewarded We offer a holistic total rewards package, including comprehensive healthcare plans, family-building benefits, flexible time off, wellness stipends, and learning & development support. The base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000, depending on skills and experience. Total compensation may include bonuses, equity, and other rewards. The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries vary by location, education, skills, experience, and performance. This range is one component of the total compensation package.
