Visit Albuquerque is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to manage all human resources activities within Visit Albuquerque including the design, development and administration of employment policies and procedures, recruiting, employee relations, training and professional development, compensation and benefits, and compliance. Develop ongoing employee policies and procedures in accordance with organizational philosophy and in alignment with government statutes; Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs. Lead the talent acquisition process including recruiting, interviewing, and assisting in the selection of candidates to fill vacant positions. Spearhead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the organization. Oversee new employee orientation and onboarding procedures. Serve as management advisor in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Work with supervisors through the progressive discipline process up to and including termination. Work with legal representation on policy compliance, incident investigations and organizational compliance within the area of employment law. Conduct and coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, and all-staff training in safety, sexual harassment and diversity. Monitor training and provide career development support for all employees. Assist with the development of the salary and incentive plans; administer salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization. Conduct annual wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rates, utilizing industry, market and cost of living resources. Ensure that employee benefits such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance are administered accurately; Lead annual Open Enrollment process. Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Process and administer all HR paperwork in conjunction with Payroll. Maintains and updates all employee benefit files and employee information with all benefit carriers. Manage the Office Administrator. Manage office security procedures, including emergency point of contact, maintenance of building and office access, office key and parking access inventories. Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management or related field and five years of progressive experience in Human Resources Management. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred. Additional Qualifications

Knowledge and appreciation of Albuquerque. Considerable working knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resource management and administration. Ability and willingness to remain current on HR practices, trends and laws. Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to positively interact with Visit Albuquerque members, staff, and community representatives. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing organization policies and procedures. Experience leading, managing and developing staff. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Expertise with HRIS, ATS, and other human resources platforms. Experience with Paylocity preferred. Demonstrated strong negotiating and decision-making skills. Knowledge of membership organizations, business community the Hospitality and Tourism industries preferred.
