Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Green Building Certification Lead with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing sustainability consultancy team. The ideal candidate will specialize in delivering sustainability certifications across a wide range of property types, with hands-on experience in BREEAM, LEED, Fitwel, WELL, and other major U.S. and international green building standards. This role includes project delivery, client engagement, strategic advisory, business development, and leadership of certification initiatives across diverse real estate portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

Certification Delivery : Lead, manage, and deliver Green Building Certifications (BREEAM, LEED, WELL, Fitwel, and others) across a range of asset types.

Project Management : Oversee multiple certification projects, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations are met.

Site Assessments : Conduct site visits associated with certifications, with travel expectations of 25–40% (travel expenses covered).

Client Engagement : Serve as the primary technical advisor to clients, supporting meetings, site assessments, and certification strategies.

Technical Expertise : Provide in-depth technical guidance on sustainability best practices, certification pathways, and performance improvement strategies.

Reporting & Documentation : Prepare comprehensive technical reports, sustainability assessments, gap analyses, and client-facing deliverables.

Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams across service lines to deliver integrated sustainability solutions and identify cross-selling opportunities.

Team Leadership : Support mentorship and technical training of junior analysts and team members in certification processes.

Continuous Improvement : Stay informed on industry developments, rating system updates, and new market trends to innovate and enhance certification delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field.

3–5 years of direct experience managing green building certifications.

Professional accreditation in at least one certification scheme (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP, BREEAM AP, Fitwel Ambassador).

Strong technical expertise across multiple green building certification frameworks (BREEAM, LEED, WELL, Fitwel, etc.).

Experience conducting site assessments and working with property management teams.
