Overview Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences

We are currently seeking to fill our Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences position at the Georgia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

Responsibilities

Teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum on topics related to Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics and dosage forms along with other areas of pharmaceutical sciences as part of a team-taught curriculum.

Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program and participate in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment with other faculty in the school of pharmacy.

Contribute to the service needs of the school, participating on school and college-wide committees, and in student advising.

Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education

A Ph.D. in Pharmacology/ Pharmaceutics /Pharmaceutical Sciences or a closely related discipline is required.

A B.S. degree in pharmacy or PharmD. is preferred but not required.

Experience

Desirable qualifications at the Assistant Professor level include postdoctoral experience, prior academic teaching experience, a successful record of peer-reviewed publications, and attainment of research grants.

Desirable qualifications at the Associate Professor level include 1-2 years of teaching experience at the rank of Associate Professor in a School of Pharmacy, a proven record of scholarship, and establishment of an independent extramurally funded research program.

Compensation The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting.
