Role Overview The ideal Director of Nursing candidate is detail-oriented, organized, with strong knowledge of policies and governmental regulations. A passion for supporting and training stakeholders to provide the best care possible to residents.
How you Will make a Difference
Manage the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with Company policies, standards of nursing practices and governmental regulations to maintain excellent care of all residents’ needs.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing services department and its programs in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the long-term care facility.
Assist with development and approve the final version of the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care for each resident in coordination with the physician, Medical Director, nursing staff, and outside consultants (nursing, dietary, pharmacy, therapists, etc.).
Ensure accurate completion of forms/reports for admission, transfer and discharge of residents, including the nursing portion of the PAE, Initial Nursing Assessment, Minimum Data Set (MDS), Resident Care Plan, and the Annual MDS.
What you Need to make a Difference
Registered Nurse in good standing with the required current state license.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in long-term care and/or acute care settings.
Minimum of two (2) years of management/supervisory experience.
Must have a current/active CPR certification.
