Provide integrative psychotherapy using expressive arts therapy for individuals, children and families. Offer comprehensive integrative assessment and counseling for mental, emotional, social and behavioral issues related to chronic or life-threatening illness. Help patients learn tools to cope with stress, grief and loss and to make healthy behavioral changes. Collaborate with physicians, other health practitioners and administrative staff on care coordination and treatment planning. Serve as the principal team resource for all mental health matters and collaborate with other psychotherapists to implement best practices in integrative psychotherapy and guided imagery. Stay abreast of research and best practice in behavioral health and integrative medicine. Provide short-term, solution-focused behavioral health care in a primary care clinic (3-5 sessions). Education
Master's degree in a Mental Health discipline. Certification & Licensure
LCSW — Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR LMFT — Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR PSY — Psychologist of California Typical Experience
Two years of recent relevant experience. Skills and Knowledge
Ability to assess patient needs and provide high-quality integrative psychotherapy, guided imagery and other evidence-based approaches as indicated. Knowledge of holistic assessment, care plan development and outcomes tracking methods. Capacity to work within the integrative medicine model as practiced by the Institute for Health & Healing and aligned with current research in ambulatory behavioral health. Ability to work as an active member of an interdisciplinary practice team led by physicians. Knowledge of the most recent Board of Behavioral Science requirements and adherence to them. Role Details
This role is based embedded in a primary care clinic, providing short-term, solution-focused behavioral health care in 3-5 sessions. Pay band note: The pay band listed on the posting is for a Psychotherapist; the pay for a Psychologist is in a higher pay band. Job Shift: Days Schedule: Full Time Days of the Week: Monday - Friday Weekend Requirements: None Benefits: Yes Unions: No Position Status: Exempt Weekly Hours: 40 Employee Status: Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.
