Neighborhood Healthcare – Advanced Practice Provider Float (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
Location: Riverside County clinics. This is a float position intended to support our Riverside county clinics.
Pay range
$147,000.00/yr - $199,000.00/yr Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider Float works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by providing excellent patient-centered care and services within a dynamic team environment. This role will provide direct healthcare services to patients under the direction and responsibility of Physicians in three main categories: direct patient care, team support, and clinical administration. Responsibilities
DIRECT PATIENT CARE: Perform comprehensive physical examinations on patients, including review of patient medical data such as health history. Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., x-ray, electrocardiogram, laboratory tests). Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management. Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed regimens, growth and development, family planning, daily living issues, and health maintenance. Demonstrate courteous, accurate care to positively impact patient experiences. Provide age-appropriate care to patients. TEAM SUPPORT: Share accountability for overall patient health outcomes in coordination with care teams. Instill confidence in our care and facilities to patients, colleagues, and stakeholders. Respond promptly and with caring actions to patients and employees. Maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public. Cooperate in achieving department goals and objectives. CLINICAL ADMINISTRATION: Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in continuity of care. Operate in accordance with NHC practice protocols under the supervision of MDs, per the Supervisory Agreement. Keep informed of organizational activities and promote mission and goals. Function at the highest level according to credentials and competency. Education/Experience
Master’s degree from an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program required. Valid CA Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certification required. Valid CA DEA license required. Valid BLS certification from approved American Heart Association provider required upon hire. Additional Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Excellent verbal and written communication, including strong composition, typing and proofreading skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Knowledgeable about and experienced in providing direct care to patients. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong planning and organizational abilities. Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Ability to handle highly confidential information professionally and ethically. Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/carry up to 20 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods. Compliance (Safety & HIPAA)
Follow all safety procedures as outlined in Neighborhood Healthcare’s Illness and Injury Prevention Plan (IIPP) and report injuries or unsafe conditions immediately. Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures related to safe work practices. Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions. Use proper body mechanics to ensure an injury-free environment. Be familiar with location of nearest fire extinguisher and emergency exits. Follow all infection control procedures including blood-borne pathogen protocols. Maintain privacy of all patient, employee and volunteer information and access such information on a need-to-know basis. Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations. Report unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful behavior or activity. Neighborhood Healthcare requires employees to be fully vaccinated (including a booster dose) against COVID-19 and demonstrate proof of vaccination/booster upon hire or receive approval for an exemption based on medical reason, disability or religious belief. Proof of booster dose will be contingent upon booster eligibility.
