Director of Program Planning, Bureau of School Health

The Division of Family and Child Health (DFCH) of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) is charged with the creation and oversight of programs, policies, services, and environments that support physical and socio-emotional health, and promote primary and reproductive health services, health equity, social justice, safety and well-being of New York City families and children. Duties: Responsible for metric tracking and working with program leadership to adjust practices when needed to achieve program goals and taking the lead in program reporting for bi-annual accountability meetings. Lead and support OSH policy work, including policy analysis, response to relevant bills and legislation, support for policy proposals submitted by OSH program directors, and advancing prioritized policy agenda for OSH. Provide general analytic support for the Assistant Commissioner of OSH and for fiscal and programmatic evaluation and prepare analysis. Preferred Skills: Experience in the development and implementation of quality assurance and program evaluation. Conflict management resolution skills. Experience in program management. Requirements: A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization. A master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization. NYC Residency is required within 90 days of appointment.
