CommonSpirit Health *Responsibilities* Sign on bonus available! *JOB SUMMARY* This job is responsible, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other Healthcare Provider, for providing quality practical nursing care to clinic patients consistent with the scope of LPN licensure and VMFH Scope of Practice Policy. An incumbent assists providers with patient clinic visits, carries out routine aspects of designated nursing protocols, and provides clinical support and assistance to medical staff. Work includes participating in patient care planning, assisting with or performing diagnostic procedures/tests, reporting observations, and updating patient records. An employee uses initiative to carry out recurring tasks independently within scope of practice and standards. RN or Provider provides instructions for complex tasks and is consulted for unusual situations. Work involves managing a demanding workload and requires excellent customer service skills with patients, families, team members, practitioners, and the public. *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Prepares patients for visits, rooms patients, records vital signs, allergies, medications, and presenting problems, ensuring privacy and comfort. Performs or assists with patient care, diagnostic tests, and procedures within scope; refers complex cases to RN or provider. Assists with point of care testing (CLIA-Waived Tests) and lab tests following protocols. Administers medications per provider orders, tracks usage, and inventories controlled substances. Documents procedures and interactions in patient records, enters and signs orders. Organizes exam rooms, maintains supplies, sterilizes instruments, and maintains equipment. Performs related duties as required. *Qualifications* *Education/Work Experience:* Graduation from an accredited LPN program approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing. One year of LPN experience in a clinic or two years in acute care preferred. *Licensure/Certification:* Current Washington State LPN license and Healthcare Provider BLS certification. *Overview* Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has a history of providing exceptional healthcare since 1891.
