Windows Systems Administrator role at The University of Texas at Austin. Department: Applied Research Laboratories. Location: Pickle Research Campus. Weekly scheduled hours: 40. FLSA Status: Exempt. Earliest Start Date: Immediately. Position duration: Expected to Continue. Responsibilities
Configure and image on-prem Windows desktops and laptops using standard deployment tools Perform physical deployment of imaged hardware, including tier 1 support Initiate system migration, including user profiles and data configuration Maintain security compliance and organization standards Configure/Enroll/Support smart card for multifactor authentication Document deployment processes, procedures, and issue resolutions Other related functions as assigned Required Qualifications
HS/ GED Two years of related experience Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot end-user systems and software in a Windows Active Directory environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently with confidential and sensitive information Candidate will need to obtain a DoD 8570.1/8140 IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA CySA+ or Security+, within 6 months of hire date Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in Computer Science or related field Two or more years of Windows System Imaging Current Sec+ Certification (A+ and/or Net+ acceptable) Eligibility for immediate access to classified information Experience in ServiceNow (ITSM, ITAM, HAM, SAM) Familiarity with SCCM/InTune deployment Experience in enterprise-scale Windows environments Knowledge of PowerShell scripting Additional Information
