The Roving Security Supervisor is directly responsible for the supervision of the Security Officers and Leads at the Moffitt Ambulatory Clinics (MAC) including Moffitt International Plaza (MIP), Moffitt SouthShore (MSS), Moffitt Wesley Chapel (MWC) and Moffitt Terrace Park (MTP). The Roving Security Supervisor ensures that all department activities and assignments are designed and directed to make every attempt to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position requires travel to the various (MAC) locations weekly. A high degree of professionalism, visibility and vigilance with emphasis on crime deterrence and prevention, coupled with a guest relations-oriented attitude are mandatory.
The Roving Security Supervisor works directly with the (MAC) Security Officer Leads to ensure adequate staffing levels are met and that departmental processes are followed. This position plays a key role in the direction and review of investigations of incidents involving criminal activity, safety and security issues, potential liability, employee misconduct and the resolution of critical incidents.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have: High School Diploma/GED. Valid Florida Driver’s License. Minimum of five (5) years security experience in a hospital setting with 3+ years in a supervisor or management position. Law enforcement or military experience may be substituted on a one for one basis. IAHSS Basic Certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire). Meet all qualifications for Security Officer III. AVADE Level II Self Defense (must be obtained within 90 days of hire). AVADE Level III Defense Control Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire). Preferred qualifications include: IAHSS Supervisor Certification. Two (2) years security experience with Moffitt. Law Enforcement supervision and/or investigative experience. Advanced Leadership/Supervisor Training. Formal training in conflict resolution. Employment Details
