Location: New Castle, PA or Houston, TX. The Programmer Analyst’s primary office will be at an EGI location. The Programmer Analyst will be on-site in the office 100% of the time, not remote.
Responsibilities
Help the Business Units maintain and develop their information systems.
Assist with projects that involve custom programming efforts.
Work with EGI Systems Analysts / Business Units on programming spec design and implementation.
Collaborate and communicate with other IT Programmer Analysts.
Ensure the use of the most effective and efficient programming tools with the programming group.
Troubleshoot and support day-to-day problem resolutions at Business Units.
Provide general backup and support to EGI Information Technology Department at other EGI business units as needed.
Develop new software applications with IT staff and end users according to specifications.
Work with end users on program-related problems, bug fixes, and enhancements to existing applications.
Follow current programming standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Provide Help Desk support for software-related issues.
Abide by company policies and procedures and meet attendance requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Programming / Computer Science / Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Three to five years of programmer-analyst experience in information systems, with experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated programming skills and understanding of relational database design and techniques (SQL Server, Visual Basic, .Net).
Proactive, detail- and results-oriented with strong desire to succeed.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment.
Skills and Abilities
3+ years of experience with .Net (Visual Basic or C#) / Visual Studio; 3+ years of experience with SQL Server / T-SQL / SSRS.
Familiarity with ERP Business Systems (Infor Cloudsuite Industrial / SyteLine) and manufacturing business processes.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; SharePoint is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
On-call availability as needed and ability to travel (approximately 5-10%).
Ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
