We are seeking a Software Engineer (Backend) to join a fast-growing SaaS company operating in the financial technology space. This role is fully remote within the U.S. (EST overlap required) and will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power an ecosystem of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has deep .NET expertise, strong database skills, and experience building secure, high-performance services in distributed environments. U.S. work authorization is required. Senior Software Engineer (Backend) (FinTech SaaS) Location:
Remote (U.S.-based only, EST hours overlap required) Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET and C# Architect and implement GraphQL schemas and resolvers to support client applications Manage relational database design, performance optimization, and data integrity in PostgreSQL and SQL Server Participate in system design and architectural discussions for new features and services Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and engineering stakeholders in a remote-first environment Mentor junior engineers, contribute to engineering standards, testing, and documentation Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies in cloud environments (Azure) Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of professional experience with .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core Hands-on experience with GraphQL Strong knowledge of relational database design (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and caching strategies Experience implementing secure authentication Highly Desirable Skills Experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., Functions, Azure DevOps) Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and event-driven architectures Compensation Base Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 Additional annual discretionary bonus Additional Information Fully remote role, but candidates must be U.S.-based with strong EST time zone overlap, and candidates must be based in approved states (California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Ohio) Occasional travel (2–4 times per year) to New York City for team sessions Must be authorized to work in the United States — no visa sponsorship available Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD, 401k with company contribution, PTO, and holidays
