Overview
Architecture & Engineering Manager (NJUS) at NetJets. Direct and manage all aspects of Architecture, Engineering & Design for NetJets’ real estate portfolio, including architectural design, planning, and management of terminals, hangars, corporate offices, warehouses, and ancillary sites supporting NetJets’ global growth. This role involves strategic leadership and tactical execution, managing 3rd party architecture, design, and engineering service providers. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated architecture experience; licensure is not required. This position reports to the Director of Real Estate. Responsibilities
Lead NetJets architecture process to develop project scope, evaluate constructability, assess feasibility, identify value engineering opportunities, and validate budgets throughout the design process. Review potential real estate opportunities and provide architectural design guidance based on NetJets’ risk policies. Craft project scope documents for contracting services. Manage A&E vendors including schematic design, design development, construction documentation, planning, permitting, budget and schedule management, construction oversight, safety, FF&E installations, and project closeout. Direct and monitor vendor work for schedule, budget, quality, safety, and contract conformance. Review transactional documents (leases, purchase/sale agreements, letters of intent, project management engagements, general contractor engagements, A&E agreements). Coordinate technical components such as code compliance, envelope detailing, and constructability. Support efficient and cost-effective project execution and design. Coordinate with external stakeholders (consultants, city officials, etc.). Establish and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and suppliers, managing expectations and ensuring proactive communication. Develop and monitor project budgets and adherence to standards as a best-in-class design team. Help develop NetJets global real estate architectural design standards for all space types and asset classes. Support Construction team in bidding and construction administration; monitor general contractor work for schedule, budget, quality, safety, and contract compliance. Perform in-house design of non-structural interior partitions, openings, and built-in elements. Lead selection, specification, procurement, and coordination of FF&E; manage bidding and procurement services. Provide executive-level project reporting. Additional duties may include event support, vendor purchases and invoicing, status/metrics reporting, and supplier management. Participate in developing and documenting policies, procedures, and tools to support them. Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s in Engineering or Design. Licensure is not required but a licensed architect, space planner/designer or related credentials are a plus. Experience & Core Competencies
6-8 years of experience. Core competencies include service orientation, curiosity, collaboration, adaptability, positive results orientation. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other (KSAOs)
Licensed architect, licensed space planner/designer or related credentials are a plus. Experience managing the Architecture and Design process for commercial structures. Solid working knowledge of architecture and/or engineering; ability to develop strategy and deliver tactical work. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or other architectural software. Ability to operate independently and adapt to changing environments, roles, responsibilities, and processes. Ability to manage and prioritize large numbers of projects and tasks; build relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers; influence decisions. Ability to travel between locations including overnight stays; valid driver’s license; ability to pass airport background check (KCMH) for AOA access. Strong oral and written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Industry-specific certifications or coursework are a plus but not required. How NetJets Supports You
