Overview

IT Project Manager I at Inside Higher Ed (agency: Texas A&M University - San Antonio; department: Information Technology). Position is 100% on-site at the San Antonio campus; remote or hybrid work is not available. The IT Project Manager I, under general direction, manages and oversees all aspects of small to medium cross-functional technology projects that require specialized expertise to ensure on-time completion and within budget. Responsible for managing the project scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables. Responsible for developing detailed project plans, monitoring project milestones, generating periodic status reports, evaluating and managing risk. Typical work hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. May require evenings, weekends, and peak times. Responsibilities

Ensures that IT projects meet all the requirements for Texas Administrative Code for IT Projects and ensures that major information resources projects are reported in accordance with regulations. Maintains accurate documentation for IT projects in accordance with audit requirements. Conducts meetings with stakeholders to schedule and coordinate project activities. Ensures that meeting minutes are stored in a consistent location in accordance with audit requirements. Manages and oversees all aspects of small to medium technology projects to ensure on-time completion and within budget. Manages projects where the problem and solution are usually defined and easy to achieve. Manages projects aligned with business strategies and in accordance with project management standards. Develops detailed project plans, monitors project milestones, generates periodic status reports, evaluates and manages risk. Manages the project scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables. Coordinates project resources in conjunction with resource holders and other project managers. Manages project quality control and assurance. Establishes goals for project delivery. Applies best practices in vendor selection, contract negotiation and project lifecycle. Provides input on designated budgets that have a minor impact on financial revenue and expenses. Develops, implements, and tracks timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Analyzes data and produces reports for all stakeholders. Independently analyzes, prioritizes, documents, tracks and communicates project risks, issues, and decisions to project sponsors. May manage and supervise project team. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field. Three years (3) of related experience. Application Instructions
