Quilr is a startup in stealth mode based in Austin. We are aiming to solve a problem in the cybersecurity space that has been untouched till now. The founder has a 12 year history in cybersecurity and has exited a company for $1B+. We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team to build the core engine of the product. The Senior Data Scientist will work closely with fellow developers to build the product. Responsibilities
Designing AI/ML systems. Researching and setting up ML algorithms and tools. Selecting appropriate data sets. Picking appropriate data representation methods. Identifying differences in data distribution that affect model performance. Verifying data quality. Transforming and converting data science prototypes. Performing statistical analysis. Running machine learning tests. Using results to improve models. Training and retraining systems when needed. Extending machine learning libraries. Developing ML apps according to use case requirements. Staying up to date on new trends and technologies in ML and AI. Decide, deploy, train, tune and scale AI/ML models focused on solving particular use cases. Designing and building data pipelines to feed data to train models and manage them. Research AI techniques used in similar problem statements by other organizations. Understand the space of cybersecurity. Qualifications
Advanced math and statistics skills in subjects such as linear algebra, calculus and Bayesian statistics. An advanced degree in computer science, math, statistics or related fields. 7+ years of experience in machine learning, neural networks, deep learning or related fields. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills. Software engineering skills. Experience in data science. Experience with coding and programming languages, including Python, Java, C++, C, and JavaScript. Experience working with ML frameworks. Experience working with ML libraries and packages, such as the Natural Language Toolkit. An understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture. Knowledge of computer architecture. Knowledge and fluency in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure. Experience with Python for developing machine learning pipelines using scikit-learn or R. Experience in or can implement/develop/tune/train Relational AI/Graph AI models, LLM models, NLP/NLU, Behavioral AI, Computer Vision etc. Seniority level
