Overview
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Housing Monitor/Security Guard for the Nashville, TN location. This is a part-time opportunity. Position: Part-Time Housing Monitor. Schedule: Sat-Sun 4:00 PM-12:00 AM. We are looking to fill this position within the next two weeks. Job Summary
Monitors the behavior and activities of clients participating in a Salvation Army housing program; guards the safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with housing rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of security practices and procedures. Ability to influence and control human behavior and enforce security rules and guidelines. Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required; six months of experience working with the public in a security or social service environment preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Work involves the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light ( Additional Information
