Responsibilities

Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand the functional and non-functional requirements of the applications.

Translate business requirements into architectural designs that align with business goals and OLITS standards.

Design system architecture and define how different components of the system interact.

Design, develop, test, and implement software applications using .NET and C#.

Utilize for web application development, including MVC, Web API, and React with Redux for client-side and Entity Framework Core server-side programming.

Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.

Develop user interfaces and ensure the front end is responsive, accessible, and user-friendly.

Review code, architecture, and design to ensure they meet OLITS standards.

Analyze and optimize the performance of applications.

Design strategies for scaling the application and batch processes efficiently as user demand and data volume grows.

Ensure the application adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements.

Utilize Azure DevOps and adhere to department standard practices such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

Evaluate existing processes and provide recommendations for design, integrations, and system architecture.

Design and develop features for new and existing applications.

Review requirements and design documents and gain a complete understanding of the proposed new system.

Develop the new system per the documented specifications.

Perform unit and system testing and assist with the coordination of user acceptance testing.

Respond to all issues reported out of testing and resolve all items determined to be defects.

Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities

Seven or more years of IT work experience in application development and maintenance activities with the Microsoft .NET framework (with a minimum of 3 years in versions of .NET 6 and above), C#, Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.

Extensive knowledge and actual work experience with .NET, C#, MVC, Entity Framework Core, Visual Studio, ASMX, WCF, React with Redux, Web API and RESTful services.

Experience with code-first approach for creating and maintaining database model.

Experience with content management methodologies.

Experience securing web applications i.e., from SQL injection, CSRF, XSS attacks and latest security vulnerabilities.

Experience with Razor, LINQ, Custom Helper Classes.

Experience with HTML5, Bootstrap, AJAX, Knockout, React, Kendo, LESS or SASS.

Extensive experience with MS SQL Server, SQL queries, stored procedures and SQL tuning.

Hands on experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles and Design Patterns including Singleton, Dry, SOLID or SignalR.

Ability to estimate daily tasks and communicate impediments in a timely manner.

Experience in delivering fully unit tested code.

Experience with Dependency Injection and IoC tools preferred.

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbal and written.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

Ability to analyze and interpret user requirements.

Ability to produce code that meets the organization s standards.

Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to multitask.

Knowledge of Git application development repository.

Knowledge of Windows Authentication and Web login security.

Knowledge of Visual Studio Unit Testing Framework (or other unit testing frameworks).

Knowledge of agile software development, including SCRUM.

Knowledge of SharePoint, CSOM and Rest API
