Associate IT Engineer - Infrastructure

You’ll support the migration, deployment, and maintenance of cloud solutions, primarily in Microsoft Azure, while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. Support basic administration of Azure resources (Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, Azure Active Directory). Monitor cloud environments and respond to alerts under guidance. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to build cloud expertise. Collaborate with senior engineers to learn best practices for cloud security, automation, and cost management. Contribute to routine tasks such as patching, backups, and basic troubleshooting. Stay current with Azure updates and new features. Perform other duties as assigned. Assist in writing and automating deployment and management of Azure resources using Terraform modules and scripts for repeatable infrastructure deployments, following best practices in code versioning and documentation. Document cloud processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing. Collaborate with senior and lead engineers to learn best practices in cloud automation, security, and DevOps. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience (internships, coursework, certifications). Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure fundamentals (AZ-900 certification preferred). Basic understanding of cloud concepts: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS. Exposure to Windows Server administration and Active Directory (coursework or labs). Interest in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI). Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team. Preferred Experience
Internship or academic project experience with Azure or other cloud platforms. Exposure to virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V). Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN). Experience with Microsoft 365 or Office 365 administration. Any relevant certifications (AZ-900, MS-900, CompTIA Cloud+). Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to multitask. HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions is a plus. Location and Work Authorization
This role does not allow 100% remote work. Qualified out-of-state candidates must be willing to relocate and live within a daily commutable distance of Casey's Store Support Center in Ankeny, IA, and be willing to work onsite 5 days a week. This position requires authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future. Casey’s will not provide sponsorship or employer support for applications or petitions for visas. Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay range: $64,800 - $89,100. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of KSAs, related experience, education, and qualifications. The position is eligible for annual cash bonuses based on company performance.
