The Project Field Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering information to the Project Manager, Craft Supervisors and Corporate Functional Managers to ensure design development and construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instruction applicable to one or more disciplines. This position also provides project controls support (cost, scheduling, estimating) and subcontract oversight to project construction supervision and craft personnel. Location & Travel Details:
You’ll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build infrastructure projects. This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time. You may be placed on a project site located in various states throughout the US. (List: NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY). You’ll spend 6-8 months on average per project. If eligible, designated daily per diem, base pay, and relocation assistance. If eligible, a vehicle allowance may be included. Travel home rotation will be one weekend per month away from the jobsite. Company overview:

Responsibilities
Understand technical drawings and specifications for industrial construction. Interpret design/drawings for crafts installing material. Prepare field design change requisitions and "as built" drawings, as required. Comprehend subcontract language, scope, terms and technical requirements. Plan and develop construction work packages for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process plant systems. Understand detailed project schedules including required predecessors and successors to each activity. Understand quality requirements and industry standards for various construction crafts and perform QA/QC duties as required and per the Lemartec Field Engineering Handbook. Communications skills in writing and speaking (including technical communications). Manage and coordinate both material and human resources. Support the Construction Manager in analyzing and reporting daily progress of subcontractors. Support subcontractors in a manner that adheres to the construction schedule and contract terms. Facilitate technical approvals by engineers and expedite design development according to the engineering schedule and contract terms. Coordinate craft production and release work to meet subcontract and project schedules. Propose modifications to engineering design and interpreting drawings, specifications and other technical documents for subcontractors. Provide support to the Project Controls Manager in standard project controls responsibilities (cost, scheduling, and estimating/re-estimating). Prepare and disseminate QA/QC records, punch lists, sketches of completed work, material requirement calculations, etc. Adhere to the Lemartec Field Engineering Handbook and Employee Handbook and Safety rules. Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager. Physical requirements: frequently lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, sit for long periods, occasional stooping/kneeling/crouching, reach and manipulate objects, and work extended hours on site. Personal protective equipment: hard hat, safety glasses, rain gear, steel-toed boots. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline from an accredited university. Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, civil, or HVAC systems. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Understanding of design and engineering of large-scale industrial projects across all engineering disciplines. Knowledge of construction activities including material, equipment, cost and time requirements. Technical engineering and computing knowledge. Knowledge of codes that apply to industrial construction. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Document Control Systems). Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team on all phases of an EPC project with minimal supervision. What’s in it for you
