Overview

Survivability Engineer (Level II) – Secret clearance. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking candidates to join the Nuclear Hardness & Survivability Engineering group, supporting multiple Strategic Reentry Programs (SRP programs). Responsibilities

Apply electrical, electronics and nuclear physics theories to execute tasks related to Survivability engineering. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Ensure that military space vehicle and missile designs, from the component level to the system level, meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments, including natural space radiation and man-made radiation. Conduct technical planning, specification requirements derivation, modeling and analysis, design, test planning and execution, documentation, and requirements verification/validation to support overall system needs and act as a technical consultant for management and customers. Eligible candidates typically possess 1+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience/education. Basic Qualifications

Experience with performing radiation testing from part-level to CCA-level through work experience or coursework. Experience with developing radiation test procedures, plans, and/or test reports. Knowledge of operating basic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, power supply, etc.). Security Clearance / Work Authorization: Active Secret clearance is required to be considered. Desired Skills

Understanding of Natural Space Radiation environments and Nuclear Engineering. Understanding of electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical components. Familiarity with radiation test facilities (e.g., university test labs). Advanced degree in a related subject area. Security Clearance
