Overview
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior EIT 2 to join the Power Generation Business Sector, focusing on renewable energy projects and, when needed, other regional projects. The role offers the option to work remotely or in a hybrid setting with supervisor approval. The successful candidate will work in a team environment, applying their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today’s environment. The candidate will perform design and monitoring tasks under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer. The position may require travel to project sites, primarily in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.

Utility Design and Relocation Plans
Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans
Geotechnical Investigations
Permit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)
Access Road Section Development
Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control Plans
Construction Cost Estimates
Owner's Engineer Support During Construction
Field Investigations
Daily/Weekly Construction Inspections
Earthwork Construction Quality Control
Compaction Testing
Concrete Testing
ESC Inspections
SWPPP Inspections
Environmental Monitoring
Qualifications
Minimum Years Of Experience: 6+
Education: B.S. or M.S. Engineering
Certification/Licensure: Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification
Technical Competencies: Develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area; evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria; collaborates to adapt methods for non-routine aspects; applies principles of probability and statistics to assess risk
Additional Qualifications
Technical Responsibilities: Performs moderate design tasks; prepares portions of plans, specifications, and other project documents; performs research and field investigation
Project and Task Management: Works as a part of a team and coordinates work with others; assists in determining schedule and budget requirements
Management Responsibility: Receives instruction on objectives, direction on complex problems, and mentorship from a licensed engineer
Communication Skills: Possess effective oral and written communication skills; interacts with staff and clients; participates in project meetings
