Application Analyst I - Supply Chain

The Corporate Supply Chain Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Application Analyst I - Supply Chain Systems.
Working as a member of the Supply Chain IS team, the Application Analyst I will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the reporting applications SQL database, ERP etc., this entry-level position is responsible for gathering reporting & data requirements from end-users and creating accurate, timely reports and providing support to daily IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Regularly meets with supervisor and team to discuss, develop/modify reporting requirements based on end-user/customer needs. Monitors and resolves daily IT tickets related to supply chain systems as needed Ensure data extraction/load accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of reports. Writes SQL queries to retrieve data and fine tune them based on customer needs. Understands education material and provides assistance with training to UHS staff on reporting applications and drive them to self-service reporting. Interacts with Leadership on implementation of new enhancements on ERP/reporting applications. Coordinates development of test data, system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle. Troubleshoots application issues and coordinates with technical teams for resolution. Leads assigned data cleansing projects across supply chain systems. Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to Supervisor. System Maintenance/Support
Provides support to Supply Chain IS team in major application upgrade projects (ERP/Reporting/Other third party application) as needed. Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies. Provides on-call/weekend support as needed for any patch/upgrade testing. Establishes and maintains regular communications with user community. Administration and Oversight
Assists management with training analysts in the performance of their duties as required. Provides technical support and guidance to other team members as required. Documents recurring issues and recommends process improvements. Prepares and promptly submits all routine and special reports. Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards. Creates and maintains user guides and documentation for reporting processes. Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems and escalate project issues and roadblocks as needed. Qualifications
Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred. One or more years of SQL/Reporting/Data Analytics experience in Information Services. Understanding of SQL, reporting dashboard development, Microsoft tools like excel, data analysis etc. Familiarity with data governance and data quality initiatives. Introduction to database management, project management, report validation methods and data warehouses. Some knowledge of ERP Supply Chain applications. Knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices. Knowledge of computer systems analysis, techniques and procedures. Developing skills in working with users to determine software or system application functionality and area for improvements; coordinate design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, or modification of system application. Understanding of SC-IT standards and quality methods and metrics. General familiarity of business requirements gathering process to generate reports, validate the data set etc. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Travel Requirements: 5 - 25% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
