The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program’s two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA, and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. The Engineer selected for this position will be assigned to the Facilities Engineering team and must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance so they can work with teammates to accomplish the proper sustainment and operations of U.S. Government security systems supporting Launch processing activities. Summary Of Key Duties For This Position
Assist in the sustainment and operations of the Enterprise Access Control System, Perimeter Detection System, Operational and Security Closed Circuit Video Systems, Video Walls, Monitors and displays, computers and networks. Design, configure, document, and troubleshoot IP Networks & VMware environments. Apply cybersecurity fundamentals to networking equipment, including hardening, analysis, vulnerability management. Interface and brief engineering efforts to Lockheed leadership, U.S. Government, and Satellite Vehicle Contractor personnel. Perform final inspection and develop corrective actions for non-conformance items. Gather and review data concerning systems and equipment specifications, company, or government restrictions, required completion date, and solution feasibility. Monitor and report progress of several concurrent projects to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. This is a full-time position.
