The YMCA is seeking an engaging, enthusiastic, and nurturing group leader to join our team as a full-time and part-time site coordinator. This position plays a key role in providing a safe and enriching environment for school-aged children to learn, grow, and explore.
As a group leader, aiding in the overall operation of high-quality early learning, responsibilities will include promoting YMCA core values and encouraging lifelong learning. The SACC Site Coordinator is responsible for the planning and overall operation of a high-quality after-school program, including overseeing one before and/or after-school site and providing leadership for additional sites as determined by the Director.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, organizing, and implementing activities (e.g., games, arts and crafts, storytelling) and overall engagement with the children. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the students and maintaining a clean and developmentally appropriate environment. Fostering positive relationships with children and their families through effective communication and collaboration. Demonstrating positive energy and enthusiasm in providing and growing in leadership, motivating team members and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment. Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development by encouraging positive relationships and participation in developmentally appropriate activities. Responsible for maintaining compliance in all related areas, including the Department of Early Education & Care (EEC) licensing procedures and promoting YUSA Healthy Eating Physical Activity (HEPA) standards. Assisting in providing reasonable accommodations to allow children with disabilities to participate in activities. Supervision and leadership to program staff and participants, and maintaining the organization's policies, EEC regulations, applicable laws, and QRIS Standards. Benefits For Part-Time

Must meet EEC requirements: Minimum of one year experience working with school-age children (with HS Diploma) OR Minimum of nine months experience working with school-age children (w/Associates) OR Minimum of six months experience working with school-age children (w/BA). Must be 20 years of age. Knowledge and experience with EEC regulations and QRIS is preferred. The ability to develop positive, effective working relationships with staff, children & families, volunteers, school administrators are critical to this position. Effective teaching skills, the ability to implement methods to address and follow up with family needs/concerns in a positive and professional way reflecting an attitude that values diversity. Must meet EEC Educator PD requirements; PQ Registry to reflect all trainings. CPR and 1st Aid required and provided by the Y, Child Protection & Reporting and Employee Safety online trainings upon hire. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to: climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand for an extended period of time, walk, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, have finger dexterity, grasp, perform repetitive motions, talk, hear and have visual acuity.
