Overview Kforce is seeking a DevOps Cloud Engineer for a client in Westlake, TX. Apply via Dice.

Responsibilities

Design and implementation of continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning non-prod and production environments.

Develop deployment automation for any type of workload (Application, database, caching, Mobile, etc.) on Azure using industry standard deployment and configuration tools.

Develop tools and solutions to integrate, automate, and orchestrate cloud operational needs leveraging Automation, Jenkins and ARM/Terraform templates.

Define and bring in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment best practices.

Manage DevOps security and compliance.

Partner with Development teams to identify workload patterns and deliver suitable deployment automation.

Document deployment automation and pipeline details and effectively socialize with DEV teams to educate and leverage.

Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts.

Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling.

Additional Oversight

Maintain and verify system documentation.

Maintain security standards in Azure per the Security benchmarks.

Evaluate alternatives for solving problems or improving processes and procedures.

Requirements

Certification in AWS or Azure Cloud - DevOps engineer, Developer, Solutions Architect, or Data Engineer.

In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) infrastructure and deployment best practices.

Knowledge and Skills

Cloud data stores (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, AWS RDS, Azure SQL MI).

Cloud ETL/ELT tools (Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Apache Kafka, Striim).

Azure/AWS Cloud platform experience and related services including Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).

Public Cloud automation using Azure/AWS DevOps and ARM templates/Terraform.

Scripting languages and automation: Helm Charts, YAML, JSON and Python.

CI/CD pipelines design for automated deployments, using Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub and Docker tools.

Troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities.

Linux/Unix OS and network security knowledge.

Database technologies SQL and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Azure SQL/Oracle).

Compensation and Benefits The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Pay is not considered compensation until earned and may be modified in its discretion.
