SAP Solutions Lead (SAP Finance transformation programs)

to be based in

$100.00/hr - $120.00/hr . W2 and local candidates only (local to Southern California). Title:

SAP Solutions Lead (SAP Finance transformation programs) Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of high-quality SAP-enabled solutions in the Finance workstream, including core SAP S/4HANA, MDG, and satellite SAP applications (e.g., BW/4HANA, Datasphere, SAC, SAP-certified applications such as Blackline, OneSource Global Next, OpenText Vendor Invoice Management, Taulia, Finance4U Regulatory Accounting & Reporting), and remediation of non-SAP applications (e.g., Power Plan, Tagetik, UI Planner). Provide inputs to System Integrator (SI) sprint planning via Product Oriented Delivery (POD) based hybrid Agile methodology; participate in sprints across concurrent workstreams; map and review features to user stories/epics; answer technical questions in development of user stories by SI and business partners. Engage in detailed design activities, review and provide feedback on SI documentation (FSD/TSD, BCD, PDD, BPP). Collaborate with Finance project team members, SI personnel, internal partners, and third parties to ensure build reflects detailed design with high-quality, traceable deliverables. Play a major role in technical architecture review through governance and gating processes; prepare materials demonstrating thought leadership and technical solutions capabilities. Review SI build configurations in SAP S/4 to align with the BCD and provide feedback; assist with configurations as needed and document them. Provide materials for review of development objects (RICEFWs) to the Solutions Standardization Board (SSB) and ensure they meet standards and architecture principles in a cloud-enabled S/4HANA environment; guide integration with new and existing applications. Anticipate and mitigate technical risks and issues affecting scope, schedule, and resources. Support planning and execution of various test cycles (SIT/UAT/Performance/Regression), mock cutover/conversions, and deployments with IT Operations teams. Participate in go-live events and provide post-implementation hypercare by triaging issues daily. Conduct knowledge transfer to Support teams to enable sustained adoption and operational continuity post-stabilization. Qualifications

Ten (10) or more years of experience delivering large-scale SAP Finance transformation programs in SAP S/4HANA, preferably with recent RISE in a private cloud environment using SAP’s Activate or other hybrid Agile methodologies. Expert-level experience in end-to-end Finance processes supported by SAP FI/CO/TR/PS, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, management accounting, close and consolidations, allocations, asset accounting, cash management, and related reporting; cross-functional knowledge in SAP Sales & Distribution and Materials Management or Plant Maintenance is required. Experience with three or more Finance-related applications (e.g., Blackline, Icertis, OneSource Global Next, OpenText VIM, PowerPlan, Taulia, Tagetik, UI Planner, UI accounting tools) is desirable. Experience in SAP BTP and/or Cloud ABAP programming in S/4 and development of Fiori applications; ABAP experience with RICEFW objects in SAP ECC is required. Working knowledge of SAP BW4HANA, Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or similar analytics tools is a plus. Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM for Epics, User Stories, Features; experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Redwood) is preferred. Exposure to the SAP Signavio toolset for Business Process Management. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) capable of conveying complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance/Accounting, or related field; SAP S/4HANA certification is a plus. Desired Skills/Attributes
