We are seeking a

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS + Networking)

to design, automate, and optimize secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud environments. This role requires deep expertise in cloud networking, infrastructure as code, and DevOps automation across AWS (and ideally Azure or GCP). You will partner with engineering teams, product owners, and stakeholders to drive cloud adoption, ensure compliance, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions. Automate AWS networking setup (VPCs, subnets, Security Groups, NACLs, routing, and CIDR/IP address management). Build infrastructure provisioning pipelines using

Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates . Integrate infrastructure automation with service catalogs ( ServiceNow, Backstage ) to enable self-service deployments. Define and enforce best practices for network security configurations. Establish

monitoring, logging, and cost-optimization

frameworks for cloud environments. Ensure compliance with

CIS benchmarks, GDPR, SOC 2 , and other regulatory standards. Provide

technical leadership and mentorship

to engineers in cloud/DevOps practices. Troubleshoot complex networking and infrastructure issues with minimal downtime. Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption where applicable. Required Skills & Experience 12+ years

of experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, and DevOps. Proven

AWS cloud networking expertise

(VPCs, routing, peering, Security Groups, NACLs). Strong proficiency in

Infrastructure as Code

(Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates). Hands-on experience integrating automation with

Service Catalogs

(ServiceNow, Backstage). Deep knowledge of

cloud security best practices , IAM, and compliance frameworks. Experience with

Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures . Proficiency with

CI/CD pipelines

and infrastructure automation frameworks. Strong understanding of

cloud cost management

and optimization. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Cloud certifications

(AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect). Experience in

multi-cloud or hybrid cloud

environments. Expertise in

cloud-native networking and security . Experience with

big data or analytics

workloads on cloud platforms. Location:

Occasional travel to Knoxville, TN Contract Seniority level
