Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary: This role will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced IT team responsible for supporting MPC's Energy Trading and Risk Management business value streams. This includes interacting with a mix of commercial off-the-shelf tools such as RightAngle, customized extensions of that tool, as well as in-house-developed applications. The individual will leverage a combination of responsibilities, experience, and skills to provide enhancements and issue resolution to the underlying technical solutions as well as address requests for data to drive analytical efforts. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities
Manages the definition of business processes in order to measure, analyze, improve and control the process being reviewed. Communicates effectively with stakeholders, aligning the understanding of requirements, and identifying cross functional changes/impacts of the specifications for solution delivery. Develops recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems. Investigates business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning; applies continuous iterative processes. Performs cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions. Supports implementation of ways to improve working processes in the team. Supports monitoring the execution of IT service management practices around Incident, Change, Problem and Solution Development Lifecycle (SDLC) delivery methodologies for improvement and collaboration, including more advanced configuration tasks. Coordinates test case development, execution and support of strategy creation for technology delivery. Plans, executes, and documents user stories, user feedback to support the development of prototypes and wireframes. Education And Experience
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience 2+ years of relevant experience Experience with RightAngle or other Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) software is required Experience in Trading, Scheduling, Pricing, Risk, or Inventory Management is required Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred Experience with Microsoft DevOps, ServiceNow, and test case writing and execution is preferred Skills
