Mid-Level (3–5 Years) Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain core infrastructure across customer environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of servers, storage systems, endpoints, backups, and network services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows Server environments, Azure cloud resources, Microsoft 365 administration, and data protection systems. This is a hands-on role requiring end-to-end system management—from building and configuring infrastructure to troubleshooting and performance tuning. You’ll also play a critical role in compliance-driven environments, aligning system configurations with NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements. Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Windows Server infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print services) Manage enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS, iSCSI, SMB shares) with a focus on performance and redundancy Oversee Azure cloud infrastructure (VMs, networking, backups, hybrid AD integration) Administer backup and disaster recovery systems (Veeam or equivalent) Manage endpoint and cloud security using Intune and Microsoft Defender Monitor and maintain infrastructure reliability, performance, and security across physical, virtual, and cloud environments Support compliance initiatives by aligning system configurations with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and ISO 27001 standards Perform hardware lifecycle management, firmware updates, and performance monitoring Participate in infrastructure projects including virtualization, migrations, and system upgrades Document system configurations, procedures, and compliance evidence Top Skills Required

Advanced Windows Server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, file/print services) Strong understanding of enterprise storage systems and data management Azure infrastructure management and hybrid integration Backup and disaster recovery expertise (Veeam or similar) Endpoint and cloud security management via Intune and Defender Industry Background

Defense contracting Manufacturing Other compliance-heavy industries with hybrid or on-prem infrastructure Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Minimum 3–5 years in a systems or infrastructure administrator role Hands-on experience managing mixed environments (physical, virtual, cloud) Project & Equipment Experience

Experience building/managing storage and server infrastructure Virtualization and migration project experience Familiarity with enterprise-grade servers, SAN/NAS, virtualization hosts, managed switches, firewalls, and access points Software Proficiency

Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO) Veeam for backup and recovery Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Intune, Defender, Conditional Access) Remote monitoring tools (N-able, ConnectWise, or similar) PowerShell scripting and automation preferred Certifications
