Overview
Flight Simulation Software Engineers (Associate, Experienced, and Senior) role at The Boeing Company. The position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization within the Flight Simulation Labs team located in Berkeley, MO. Selected candidates will be aligned to a statement of work that best suits their interests and skillset, including the following responsibilities. Responsibilities
Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system Supports development of simulation environments to support testing performed by Mission Systems engineers Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals Executes and documents software research and development projects Works under general direction This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Technical Focus (Examples of Work)
Creating core simulation infrastructure to serve as a jumping-off point for programs developing flight simulation capabilities Developing tools to simulate, monitor, and capture messages between subsystems in a lab environment Modeling various aircraft capabilities, including the ability to run constructive scenarios in a testing environment Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
2+ years of experience programming in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience) 2+ years' experience as a Software Engineer Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's, Master or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Experience in the defense or avionics industry Knowledge of basic networking principles Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira Strong coordination and communication skills Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Security and Compliance
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start). Export Control Requirement: A U.S. Person is required. This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay ranges: Associate Level $90,100.00 - $121,900.00; Experienced Level $110,500.00 - $149,500.00; Senior Level $132,600.00 - $179,400.00.
