Provides educational leadership to county and district programs in the area of Agronomic Crop Production. This position will also serve to support soil fertility research and education in SW Oklahoma in collaboration with soil fertility and nutrient management faculty in the Department of Plant & Soil Sciences. Responsibilities
Travel required with budget provided. Participates as a cohesive team member with other area specialists, state specialists, county educators, and district staff. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, etc., related to equal opportunity, civil rights, and affirmative action. Continuation of employment is based upon need, performance and funding. OCES professionals are hired into the organization, not a specific geographical location. It is possible that future circumstances may require relocation. Employment details
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends. Appointment Length: Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice Hiring Range: $56,062 - $84,093 Salary Required Qualifications
Master\'s with at least one degree in plant and soil sciences or closely related field (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date). Starting salary is based upon education and prior relevant work experience. Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Valid driver’s license. Reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties. Reimbursement for official travel. Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate effectively, and to foster a professional image of OCES by displaying a positive view of the organization both internally and externally; ability to adapt to changing priorities and day-to-day demands; effective time and resource management; strong writing, oral, and electronic communication; commitment to ongoing professional development; ability to build and maintain relationships with clientele and professionals; competency in computing and computer-based communications technology; demonstrated leadership in designing, presenting, and evaluating educational programs.
