What You’ll Do

Serve as the engineering lead for the MHIoT project - defining features, researching components, developing software, and building user interfaces.

Design, prototype, and test IoT devices, including enclosures suitable for industrial environments.

Integrate hardware and software solutions, from embedded systems to cloud dashboards.

Collaborate with internal and external specialists to complement in-house capabilities.

Provide technical support for MHIoT customers, including demos, presentations, and site installations.

Participate in commissioning, troubleshooting, and pilot programs.

Support SCS product/service feature development and customer support.

Work with sales and marketing to craft proposals, develop brand materials, and attend events.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Master’s degree is a plus.

2–6 years of experience in end-to-end IoT or embedded systems development.

Experience with the full product lifecycle - from concept and prototyping to field deployment.

Strong understanding of embedded C/C++, JSON, microcontroller platforms.

Experience with PCB design and schematic tools.

Familiarity with wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, BLE, LTE), IoT data protocols (MQTT/CoAP).

Familiarity with communication protocols including SPI, UART and I2C.

Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) - can deploy simple services and databases.

Comfortable developing basic dashboards (React, Vue, or Python/Flask).

Familiarity with Industrial Machinery helpful but not required.

Demonstrated computer literacy with MS Office products.

Hands-on sensor integration (accelerometers, temperature probes, current transformers).

OTA update frameworks for embedded devices.

Debugging skills and experience building dashboards (JavaScript preferred).

Basic data visualization for industrial metrics (Grafana, custom UI).

Working in regulated or industrial environments (predictive maintenance, manufacturing).

Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, Docker, or containerization workflows.

Certifications

Azure IoT Developer or equivalent cloud certification is a plus.

Cybersecurity for IoT coursework/certification is a plus.

Business or Project Management coursework is a plus.

Work Environment This role is hands-on in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. You’ll work around industrial equipment and occasionally travel for field installations or customer site visits.
