Full-Time Overview
The Leasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the leasing department. Prepares reports and closely monitors occupancy and renewal percentages. Uses current data to create and execute marketing plans and set goals for the leasing team. Exhibits leadership qualities and acts as a mentor for the success of the leasing staff. Shows and leases apartments to prospective tenants by performing the duties described in this listing. Responsibilities
Leasing Manager will interview prospective tenants, determine their needs, show models and vacant apartments, collect applications and holding deposits, explain and review applications, and prepare and explain leases. Conduct market surveys to monitor competitors and the surrounding market. Support the day-to-day operations of the leasing efforts, including direct oversight over marketing strategies, the leasing team, and providing customer service to current and prospective residents. Complete weekly walks of vacant, make-ready inspections, and leased units; communicate conditions to the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. Train and lead the leasing consultant team in all areas related to developing prospective residents and processing leasing applications. Report accurate prospective traffic and closely monitor occupancy and renewal percentages. Review and audit all lease paperwork and applications for the leasing department. Essential Skills And Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service. Negotiation skills with the ability to overcome objections and create a sense of urgency. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proactive, independent worker. Available to work weekends as needed. Requirements
Associate's degree preferred but not required. Two to three years of property management-related experience required. Experience in a management role preferred. Previous experience with marketing, sales, and customer service. Experience with Bluemoon, Yieldstar preferred and Onsite or Yardi (CRM, Voyager, P2P) required. Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Cover leasing office on weekend shifts as needed. For more information, please visit our website.
