is seeking an experienced
Controller
to join its lean, high-performing team. This is a
CFO-track role
with a clear succession plan, long-term mentorship, and direct exposure to all aspects of fund finance and operations. The firm manages multiple funds and SPVs, investing in private businesses across consumer, industrial, and healthcare sectors. With a reputation-first mindset, a long-tenured team, and a focus on quality over quantity, the firm offers the unique opportunity to grow into a CFO seat without sacrificing culture or work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting for multiple investment entities, including funds, SPVs, blockers, and the management company Manage capital calls, distributions, and cash flow planning Coordinate fund-level reporting, annual audits, and tax filings (external partners: Big 4/tiered advisors + fund admin) Lead LP reporting, wire processing, and investor onboarding support Support senior leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls Assist with general office management and special projects Candidate Profile
7–10+ years of experience in fund accounting, private equity, venture, credit, or real estate Strong preference for a
public + private background
(fund admin + public also considered) Experience liaising with fund admins, tax/audit teams, and investment professionals CPA preferred; Investran or DX platform experience is a plus Organized, proactive, and excited to take full ownership in a lean environment Why This Opportunity Stands Out
