Mortgage Loan Funder at OceanAir Federal Credit Union, California. Join the OceanAir Crew and contribute to an easy, friendly member experience while funding mortgages and related transactions. Primary Purpose
Be the captain of the funding process by reviewing, preparing, and disbursing funds for refinances, purchases, and lines of credit. Serve as the friendly face assisting members and supporting clerical duties to ensure smooth operations and member loyalty. Essential Duties
Work with internal and external teams to clear conditions before funding. Review and approve closing statements and certificates of deposit (CDs). Prepare wire instructions and verify loan details. Review signed documents for accuracy and compliance. Follow up on post-closing issues and resolve discrepancies. Stay current on credit union and regulatory updates. Input loan information, book loans, and set up servicing files. Communicate with processors, loan officers, and escrow agents. Serve as backup for Loan Servicing. Know your RESPA/TRID requirements. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills
Familiarity with OceanAir's products and services or willingness to learn. Understanding of mortgage loan funding and document drawing. Member service oriented: friendly, respectful, and responsive. Tech-savvy with email, Word, Excel, and related tools. Clear communication, accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness. Team player who welcomes feedback and collaboration. Consistent reliability and professional demeanor. Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED. 1–3 years of mortgage lending and/or funding experience. Other Requirements
Must register with NMLS (fingerprints and background check required). Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance. Physical Requirements
Mostly seated work with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting. Frequent use of hands and fingers (e.g., typing). Work Environment
Bright indoor office with moderate noise and positive environment. Work Schedule
40 hours/week with occasional overtime or meetings. Flexibility to work at other OceanAir locations if needed. Travel
Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%). Salary: $23 - $34 per hour
