Director - Private Credit (Originations)
Futura Search Partners is thrilled to be partnering with this prestigious investment platform, with one of the most recognisable names in finance and more than $300bn in AUM, to find a new Director on the investment team, with responsibility for deal sourcing and underwriting. Lead origination and underwriting for a flexible private credit strategy (senior, unitranche, second-lien, asset-backed etc). You’ll source proprietary and intermediary-driven opportunities, shape terms, and drive investments from first call through IC. What you’ll do Originate high-quality deal flow via sponsors, advisors, founders/CFOs, and banks. Screen, structure, and price transactions; craft term sheets and lead negotiations. Run underwriting: diligence, financial modelling, downside cases, collateral analysis. Coordinate IC materials; present recommendations and risk/return thesis. Build and maintain a repeatable origination pipeline and coverage plan. Partner with portfolio, legal, and risk through closing and handoff. What you bring 7–12+ years in private credit / direct lending / special situations Deep sponsor and intermediary network; proven ability to originate and convert. Strong credit judgment, documentation fluency, and modelling capabilities. Comfort across capital structure and asset types; solution-oriented negotiator. High ownership, crisp communication, and IC-ready writing/presentation skills. Base pay range: $300,000.00/yr - $400,000.00/yr
