7:45am - 4pm or 9am - 6:15pm Compensation: $51,006 - $54,262/Year Position Overview:
The Child Care Assistant Teacher provides support to the program by leading the team care for infants and creating a warm and safe environment If you have a passion for working in early childhood development (3 months - up to 3 years old), helping to care for and nurture the minds of children and have the required certifications, as directed by Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), this role is for you! Essential Responsibilities, including but not limited: Assist in the planning and conducting of an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child. Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and imaginative play Assist in organize activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling and field trips Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene and social skills Teach in ways that are interactive, hands-on, inquiry-based, and promote self-discovery and critical thinking Attend to the infant’s basic needs, such as feeding, dressing, diapering, hand washing, napping, transitioning, etc. Ensure these child care routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic and consistent with good child development principles. Communicate with the older children and their families, as outlined in the handbook Qualifications: COVID Vaccinations (At least 1 full course)
required Completion of at least 60 credit hours or an associate degree (or higher) in any subject area with at least 12 credit hours in early childhood education or a High School Diploma

a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
and
