Overview
Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities. UT Tyler School of Medicine – UT Health East Texas HOPE Cancer Center in Tyler, Texas, seeks a Medical Oncology Physician to join the growing UT Health East Texas hospitals and clinics.
Responsibilities
Join a tenured team of 11 physicians and 3 NPs
Manage an expected patient load of 20–24 per shift
Provide care using EPIC electronic medical records
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Work a mix of inpatient and outpatient duties
Collaborate with onsite support services including Infusion Center, Radiology Services, Survivorship Program, Palliative Care Program
Access dedicated Registered Dietitian and Oncology Pharmacist

About UT Health East Texas UT Health East Texas is comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, the Olympic Plaza Tower, 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two freestanding emergency centers, regional home health services covering 41 counties, an EMS fleet of more than 50 ambulances and four helicopters, and a seven-trauma center care network including the region’s only Level 1 trauma facility. In 2024, we added six Urgent Care clinics. Our team includes nearly 400 employed providers and more than 7,000 team members.
