Licensure And Certification Requirements
Active National Licensure Minimum EIPA score of 4.0 EIPA of 4.0 and/or RID Certification with passing score on written exam required
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for a student in an educational setting Facilitate effective communication between the student and school staff, including teachers and support personnel Interpret classroom instruction, peer interactions, and other school-related communication Collaborate with educational team members to support the students academic and social success Maintain professional standards and confidentiality in all interactions Comply with school district policies and state/federal laws regarding educational interpreting
Requirements
Strong proficiency in ASL and English Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a school environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Reliability and commitment to the full school-year contract Previous experience working in educational settings preferred
