Overview
GIPHY is seeking a dynamic Sr. Client Partner - Strategic Accounts to spearhead revenue growth by driving strategic, high-impact partnerships with key clients. This role is ideal for an experienced digital sales leader with a proven track record of driving substantial revenue growth, building and nurturing long-term client relationships, and executing large-scale branded content campaigns. As a strategic driver of GIPHY's advertising business, the Sr Business Sales Executive will play a critical role in expanding GIPHY’s presence in the digital advertising landscape, focusing on both new business acquisition and cultivating deeper brand engagement. Responsibilities
Strategic Revenue Growth: Lead the identification and development of new market opportunities, ad products, and sales strategies that align with GIPHY’s long-term growth objectives. Drive and influence strategic planning to enhance GIPHY's position as a top choice for digital advertising in a competitive market. Ensure work aligns with operational policies. Responsible for a significant portion of the overall department revenue goals. Ownership of Revenue Generation: Manage a substantial and strategically diverse book of business, including clients across various industry verticals and high-stakes engagements with FAANG, large-scale media companies, and Fortune 100 brands. Take full responsibility for your portfolio’s revenue targets, prioritizing efforts across clients, campaigns, and sectors to maximize long-term revenue growth. Manage multiple projects, ensuring alignment across delivery teams; collaborate with cross-functional teams to align resources and deliver exceptional results. Proactively share knowledge and provide guidance to junior team members. Business Development: Build and expand a sustainable pipeline by identifying and converting new opportunities; lead outreach, prospecting, and relationship-building to secure long-term, high-value partnerships that exceed targets. Convert new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with stakeholders from Fortune 100 brands. Long-Term Client Relationships: Cultivate and manage relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders at top brands and agencies; develop tailored solutions that drive short-term success and long-term loyalty, fostering renewals and upselling. Forecasting & Strategic Planning: Own the sales pipeline, report progress, identify roadblocks, and deliver accurate revenue forecasts; collaborate with internal teams for alignment and maximize campaign success. Support planning of work and resource allocation; help lead national go-to-market strategy for high-value clients and brand partnerships. Thought Leadership & Brand Representation: Represent GIPHY at industry events to elevate the brand and establish thought leadership in digital advertising. Team Leadership & Culture: Drive a positive, collaborative team culture; mentor and guide team members and ensure goals and priorities are implemented; identify and resolve roadblocks to engagement. Qualifications
10+ years of proven success in digital media sales, brand partnerships, and advertising strategy with a track record of driving significant revenue growth and building long-term relationships with Fortune 500 brands. Established network of high-level relationships within advertising, entertainment, and media industries, including client-direct, agency channels, and Fortune 100 brands. History of exceeding performance targets and delivering measurable revenue impact through strategic thinking, market positioning, and negotiation. Strong business acumen to identify opportunities, shape strategic conversations, and recommend impactful solutions. Expertise in negotiating and closing deals at all client or agency levels, with ability to tailor solutions to diverse stakeholder needs. Analytical mindset to assess market trends, customer needs, and internal data to drive decisions that maximize revenue. Exceptional communication, presentation, and strategic thinking skills to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively. Proven experience and prior partnerships with FAANG companies and with branded content and media companies. A passion for digital media, internet culture, and evolving branded content and digital advertising landscapes. Experience building business from the ground up; startup experience is a plus. Sales management and team leadership experience is a plus. Compensation & About the Company
The pay range for this position includes 300,000 - 375,000 per year in California. This range is provided for informational purposes and may vary based on location, experience, and other factors. Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings; non-commission roles are base salary only but may be eligible for annual incentives.
