Austin Responsibilities

The Data Governance Technical Lead will support development tracks to develop and deliver data pipelines for a complex data analytics platform and provide production support for existing data pipelines in production. This includes participating in data acquisition and data integration strategic initiatives and workgroups. Build relationships with business stakeholders and translate needs into solutions. Lead design and assign work to development team members and coordinate all aspects to deliver development work by end of the planned delivery timeline (environment preparation, data loads, testing, user acceptance testing, code deployment, etc.). Provide production support by triaging issues and coordinating responses. Provide guidance and hands-on engagement to analyze, design, build, validate, and develop projects for data analytics. Drive data quality initiatives and ensure platform reliability and trustworthiness. Ensure design documents are complete, attend discovery sessions, lead design sessions, and offer consulting on complex projects. Demonstrate understanding of core acquisition, ingestion and transformation services (including cloud-based) and apply best practices to data analytics solutions and implementations. Proficiency in agile methodologies is required. Act independently or as part of a workgroup, with solid technology skills. Knowledge of enterprise architecture domains, particularly data and security. Must be willing to work onsite at an Austin, TX HHS office three (3) days per week or more. Essential Job Functions (EJFs) include attending regularly, planning and coordinating development work, ensuring data security and quality, coordinating with business users, and leading cross-functional initiatives. Qualifications (KSAs)

Knowledge and hands-on experience with computer systems, IT equipment, programming languages, hardware/software, and operating systems. Experience with data engineering, ETL tools (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, IDQ), and cloud technologies (Open Flow, DBT, Informatica IICS, etc.). Experience acquiring data from multiple data sources for use by visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) with technologies like Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB, Salesforce, and Excel. Knowledge of cloud delivery models (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with agile (scrum/Kanban) and related ceremonies; AI technologies and implementing AI features. Proficiency with JIRA; strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing/diagramming skills (Visio, Erwin, MS Office). Ability to lead best practices and procedures; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines; ability to deliver reliable, high-quality results. Knowledge of Data Governance tools (e.g., Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog, Axon) or similar tools. Willingness to coordinate multiple assignments and meet deadlines; strong communication skills. Registrations, Licensure, Certifications: AWS and cloud certifications preferred. Initial Screening Criteria

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, math, or related field required; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education. At least three years of experience leading a data engineering team on Enterprise Analytics projects. At least five years of experience handling enterprise data sets using Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent. Experience scripting with Python in an enterprise environment preferred. Experience implementing data pipelines with Informatica PowerCenter/IICS/IDQ preferred. Experience building data pipelines in major public clouds; AI experience preferred. Additional Information
