Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university with an emphasis in school psychology, educational psychology, or a related field preferred Texas licensure as a licensed specialist in school psychology (L.S.S.P.) already received or in the application process Demonstrated skillset in leading, motivating, supporting, and working collaboratively with others Minimum of one year of experience providing psychological services in a school setting. This may include LSSP internship experience Knowledge of Special Education service delivery Terms of Employment

Probationary/Term Contract: 197 days Salary

$68,326 (Licensed Psychologist PhD), pay grade IA-5 $67,321 (School Psychologist) ($1,000 for PhD), pay grade IA-4 Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees Essential Functions

Conduct individual, group, or facilitative counseling for both regular and special education students who have been referred for these services by appropriate school personnel. Maintain case records on all referred students. Confer with teachers and parents of students upon request. Provide consultation services to the teachers and supervisors of the adaptive behavior program. Assist parents of emotionally disturbed students through consultation and facilitation of various parent groups. Interprets school psychological services to school personnel and parents. Interfaces with personnel of community health and social welfare agencies. Attend staff, professional, and interagency meetings as requested. Assist with in-service training of school personnel as requested. Conduct appropriate research as requested. Assess referred students through appropriate testing and diagnostic practices and follow-through referred cases to termination. Attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) committee meetings for emotionally disturbed students and other special education students, when appropriate. Intervene with students in crises to successfully reduce the negative impact of stressful events. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding, and use of a mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). Frequent district-wide travel. Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress. Inquiries
