About This Role: This is a part-time position designed for
college students and entry-level professionals
who are passionate about education and have the drive to grow into future leaders in the education industry. The successful candidate will work alongside our Silicon Valley teaching team while also focusing on the operational aspects of our business. You will have the resources to become a
great math educator
and provide world-class teaching services to PreK-6th graders of all levels. This role will also give you the chance to participate in Think Academy's business functions including operations and marketing. This role is ideal for those wanting to become branch directors, department managers, or be part of Think Academy's global expansion in emerging markets. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds as no prior teaching-related experience is required. With the right mindset, this position will strengthen your teaching abilities and leadership competency and be a stepping stone to your goals in the education industry. Job Responsibilities: Teach engaging lessons in English for elementary-level mathematics to our students using Think Academy curriculum. Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that fosters a love of mathematics among a class of about 8-16 students. Identify and address individual learning needs by providing personalized assistance to students. Homework grading and other related key teaching services. Maintain open and proactive communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, achievements, and areas of concern. Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere for all students. Develop tailored mathematical learning plans for students based on their current abilities and goals. Support daily business operations in marketing and business growth in the Bay Area. Requirements & Qualifications: Open to all majors; we provide training and professional growth! Strong knowledge and understanding of math concepts and problem-solving techniques. Prior math teaching or general teaching experience is not required, but it is highly preferred. Passionate about teaching and the education industry, with a mission to provide better education to promote social development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes. Can commit to
at least one
whole semester teaching without interruption. Responsible, reliable, and a team player to effectively collaborate with other teachers and staff. Patient, empathetic, and motivated to inspire students. Available and willing to work from 6/9-6/13 and 8/4-8/15. You must be authorized to work in the United States. You must be able to commute to teach in-person at one of our San Jose Cupertino Campuses. $30/hour (teaching fee) + $20/hour (administrative fee).
