Overview
As a Robotics Engineering Co-op, you will work alongside Automation Engineers and Project leaders implementing automation systems to improve safety and ergonomic concerns, improve quality, increase equipment reliability, and reduce cost in our West Michigan facilities. This co-op will participate in two work rotations (January 2026 – April 2026, and September 2026 – December 2026).
What You’ll Do
You will gain experience in automation related project deployments in robotics, automated guide vehicles, custom designed automation systems or purchased installations. Collaboratively you will solve problems and gain more project autonomy as you work your way through your co-op rotations. Ultimately you will lead your own project or portions of projects to gain the experience necessary for you to flourish in your next career role.
Interact with several different team members as well as teams from Production and various Engineering functions.
Work with vendors, suppliers, and machine builders external to MillerKnoll.
Participate on a cross-functional team to complete a Co-Op project.
Attain on-the-job work experience aligned with your career objectives.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

A strong communicator with good organizational skills.
Capable of working both under supervision and without supervision.
Able to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
Enrolled and pursuing a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design and Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field, with a focus on machine controls and automation from an accredited college or university.
Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 to qualify for consideration.
Satisfactorily finished with the basic coursework in your chosen degree program and in favorable academic standing within your current program.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Able to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
