The School of Health and Medical Professions (SHAMP) at the University of Idaho invites applicants for a non-tenure track assistant professor position within the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) graduate program. The hire is focused on teaching, mentorship, and scholarship, with service to the department, SHAMP, university committees, dissertation committees, and APA accreditation work. Licensure in Idaho within one year is required. Responsibilities
Teach courses within the PsyD graduate program. Provide academic mentorship and advisement to doctoral students. Engage in scholarship activities such as research, publication, professional presentations, and/or program development. Contribute to Outreach and Extension through service to the department, SHAMP, University Committees, dissertation committees, and APA accreditation work. Qualifications
PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in the State of Idaho. Experience teaching, advising, mentoring, and evaluating students. Experience working in a collegial and collaborative atmosphere; strong verbal and written communication. Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching graduate psychology students. Experience with APA Accreditation processes and site visits from the Commission on Accreditation (CoA). Special Notes
Strong focus areas may be considered in the search; examples include Clinical Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine, Serious Mental Illness and Psychopathology, Pediatric Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy Theory, Psychometrics and Assessment, and Family and/or Couples Counseling.
